STI Medication Handouts

The STI Medication Handouts were developed by the BC Centre for Disease Control and some have been translated into Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Acyclovir & Valacyclovir - used for the treatment of Herpes
also available in:

Amoxicillin - used for the treatment of Chlamydia
also available in:

Azithromycin - used for the treatment of ChlamydiaGonorrheaNon-gonoccocal Urethritis, and Syphilis

Cefixime - used for the treatment of Gonorrhea
also available in:

Ceftriaxone - used for the treatment of Gonorrhea
also available in:

Ciprofloxacin - used for the treatment of Gonorrhea

Doxycycline - used for the treatment of Non-gonococcal UrethritisChlamydia and Recurrent Urethritis
also available in:

Fluconazole - used for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis (yeast infections due to Candida)

Metronidazole - used for the treatment of Bacterial Vaginosis and Trichomoniasis also available in:

Nitrofurantoin- used for the treatment or prevention of lower urinary tract infections.

Spectinomycin - used for the treatment of Gonorrhea
