COVID-19 Immunize BC Operations Centre: Standard Operating Procedures

Standard operating procedures have been developed with the following objectives in mind:

  • Provide the Immunize BC Operations Centre (IBOC), health authorities and individual vaccination sites with high-level planning considerations for COVID-19 vaccines. 
  • Provide health authorities and individual vaccination sites with specific information on vaccine-specific cold chain requirements.
  • Outline reporting expectations and critical data elements.
  • Promote productive communication between the IBCOC, health authorities, and individual Vaccination sites. 

Definitions

  • Primary sites: sites receiving vaccine directly from the manufacturer. 
  • Secondary sites: sites receiving vaccine moved in the custody of the province/health authority. 
  • IBCOC: Immunize BC Operations Centre
  • NOC: National Operations Centre
