Kids Boost Immunity (KBI) is a free online learning resource for Canadian students that pairs local learning with a global reward: vaccines for children in need through UNICEF.
KBI provides a broad range of free educational resources for schools to improve literacy, especially around health, sceince and vaccines.
Made possible through a paertnership between the BC Centre for Disease Control and the Public Health Assocation of Britisdh Columbia, the website includes:
- Over 700 free online lessons tailored to grades K-12 across Canada in English and French
- A quiz after each lesson to boost literacy that also enables students to earn vaccines to protect children around the world in support of UNICEF.
- Hundreds of classroom activities and teacher resources to support learning in the classroom
- Team
and individual leaderboards that track student
achievement and encourage friendly competition.
The more lessons and quizzes a student does, the more vaccines they earn for children (i.e. kids helping kids). It's that simple.
