The Quick Guide to Common Childhood Diseases (PDF) provides information about communicable diseases commonly experienced by young children and can be used by schools, child care, early learning centres, camps and more.

When children work and play together in groups, common childhood diseases can spread and be passed from one child to another. The guide provides information about the signs and symptoms of different diseases and infestations, information on how they spread and how to prevent the spread to other children. It does not include information about COVID-19. Please refer to the Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools for information about COVID-19.
