Return to work and management of exposures for health-care workers

Here you will find information about health-care workers returning to work after COVID-19 illness or following a close contact exposure.

This guidance supports organizational and individual health-care workers decision-making on returning to work following confirmed or suspected communicable viral respiratory illness. This includes illness relating to SARS-CoV-2, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), for example, that are primarily spread through close-range respiratory droplets and  aerosols. This document also provides guidance for the management of health-care workers following close contact exposures.
