Monitoring the health of the population

BCCDC monitors and reports on communicable diseases and conditions, chronic diseases, overdose events, antimicrobial resistance and utilization, and immunizations.

Research

BCCDC’s 2020/2021 Annual Report on Research illustrates the scope of BCCDC's applied research and the work of its researchers, research staff members and trainees.

PHSA also reports annually on key research indicators.

Service Plan

As a program of PHSA, BCCDC's planning is guided by the Ministry of Health's annual goals and service plan, as well as PHSA's foundational mandate. PHSA regularly reports the progress on the service plan.
