Mathematical Modeling
Mathematical Modeling Unit develops new and innovative mathematical tools to better understand and control the spread of infectious diseases. The objective is to make state-of-the-art analytical and computational tools available to public health decision-makers in designing new disease control policies. The unit provides mathematical modeling expertise to public health policy makers in British Columbia; it plays a leading role in building infectious disease transmission models to assist policy design in Canada, and has extensive collaborations with academic, public health and other institutions provincially, nationally and internationally.
