Outbreak of Salmonella illness related to mangoes

An investigation by provincial and federal health authorities into an outbreak of illness caused by Salmonella Braenderup has led to a recall of certain Daniella brand mangoes sold between July 12 and August 14, 2012, due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has issued the following public health notice: 


August 28, 2012 Update: Please note that the public warning has been expanded to include additional dates of sale affected by the recall. These mangoes were sold at various retail stores between July 12 and August 24, 2012.
