Communicable Diseases

One of the focuses of our current research is the public health area of communicable disease protection.

Our focus includes research on:

  • influenza
  • drinking water protection
  • food safety
  • global health
  • HIV
  • hepatitis
  • tuberculosis
  • harm reduction

Our research and operational emphasis is on events that occur at the population level, using basic science applications from epidemiology, sociology, demography, ecology, microbiology, genomics and evolutionary biology.
