Liza McGuinness is a project manager in Hepatitis Services at BCCDC and at the School of Nursing at UBC.
Liza’s research interests include health equity, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, community-based participatory research, Indigenous health and healthy public policy.
Liza completed an MA in anthropology from the University of Victoria. She has managed numerous qualitative and community-based research projects with a focus on chronic illnesses including hepatitis C, diabetes and HIV/AIDS. She has also been a trainer for the QSR qualitative analysis software program, NVivo.
She has been a project manager in Hepatitis Services at BCCDC since 2001. She is also the project manager for Hepatitis Education Canada and a project manager at the School of Nursing at UBC.
