One of BCCDC’s key partners in infection prevention and control in BC is the Provincial Infection Control Network of BC (PICNet-BC).
Preventing Infection

Established in January 2005 by the BC Ministry of Health Services, PICNet-BC is a provincially supported infection control knowledge collaborative, providing guidance and advice on healthcare associated infection prevention and control in BC.

PICNet-BC is a program under the auspices of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), and focuses primarily on surveillance, evidence-based best practice guidelines, and education and training.

PICNet-BC encourages and facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration, creating opportunities for healthcare professionals with an interest in infection control to work together to identify priorities and solutions.
