What We Do

​The BCCDC is responsible for the management of immunization program service delivery including planning, organizing, budgeting, supervising, coordinating, directing, monitoring and evaluating all new and existing programs.

This provincial program has an annual budget of approximately $40 million for the purchase of vaccines. The BCCDC’s Immunization Program works to manage these funds using a strong evidence base and cost-effective measures. 

The BCCDC is also responsible for writing and maintaining the BC Immunization Manual which provides best practice guidelines to direct the provision of immunization services in BC.
