Confirmed Case - laboratory confirmation of infection with/without symptoms:
- demonstration of Cyclospora spp in stool, duodenal/jejunal aspirate, or small bowel biopsy specimen OR
- demonstration of Cyclospora DNA by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in stool, duodenal/jejunal aspirate, or small bowel biopsy specimen
