A new coronavirus is causing a respiratory infection known as COVID-19 around the world and in B.C. The province is working to break the chains of transmission.

Case counts are based on available information and are subject to change.  

British Columbia

  • 1,370 confirmed cases as of April 9, 2020 
    • 858 recovered in BC
    • 50 deaths in BC
    • Cases by region:
      • 508 in Fraser Health
      • 130 in Interior Health
      • 82 in Island Health
      • 24 in Northern Health
      • 626 in Vancouver Coastal Health
    • 53,505 tests completed.
