Outbreak of Salmonella infections related to contact with live baby poultry

The BC Centre for Disease Control is collaborating with BC Health Authorities, BC Ministry of Agriculture, Public Health Agency of Canada and provincial partners to investigate an outbreak of salmonellosis in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan with cases of human illness related to contact with live baby poultry originating from a hatchery in Alberta. 

As part of this investigation, Public Health Agency of Canada has issued a public health notice about the investigation and how to protect your health and the health of your family while interacting with live poultry.
