I want to request BCCDC corporate records
BCCDC releases corporate records as permitted under the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The Freedom of Information (FOI) process is typically used for processing requests for information that is not already publicly available on the BCCDC website or through another request process available on our data access request page
All FOI requests for BCCDC corporate records are submitted to and processed by the Provincial Health Services Authority, Information Access & Privacy Office.
FOI requests must be in writing and are accepted by fax, email and physical mail.
Send your FOI request to:
c/o Corporate Director
Provincial Health Services Authority
Information Access & Privacy Office
1380 Burrard St, 7th floor
Vancouver, BC V6Z 2H3
FIPPA requires PHSA to respond to a FOI request within 30 working days. If PHSA needs to consult with others or if they have a large volume of records to review, PHSA may extend that time as permitted in FIPPA. If there is a delay, PHSA will notify you in writing of the reason for the extension and the new due date.
PHSA may charge you fees to cover the cost of processing your FOI request. PHSA will not charge fees to access your own information or for the first three hours spent searching for and retrieving records.
If fees do apply, PHSA will send you an estimate before processing your request. They may also require you to send us a deposit.
To reduce fees, please narrow your request as much as possible. For example, you can specify a date range or describe which staff member or department is likely to have the information you need.
Any questions related to FOI requests may be directed to the PHSA Information Access & Privacy Office at 604-707-5834 or PHSAfoioffice@phsa.ca
